chalk art

Jimmi's work as a chalk artist all started with Gutsy the Wombat, the now famous Warrnambool Wombat that was made into a now viral video by ABC Southwest's Emily Bissland.  Since then, Jimmi has worked with the Yarram Chalk Art Festival, Geelong City Council, Warrnambool City Council, Haddon Community Centre, Clermont Wombat Festival, Stockland Grandview and Stockland Mt Atkinson to create temporary, fun and interactive artworks across the state of Victoria.

Yarram Chalk Art Festival

Held every year in January in the Main Street of Yarram, the Yarram Chalk Art Festival is a fun public event in Gippsland Victoria.  Artists from all over the world decend on this tiny country town to enliven and brighten the streets.  To keep up to date with the Yarram Chalk Art Festival, be sure to follow them on social media HERE.

Stockland Mt Atkinson and Stockland Grandview

In 2022, Jimmi was commissioned to create two anamorphic artworks as part of a public chalk art event run by Edmund Rice Community Services for property developer Stockland, in a bid to create community connection in the new developments. On day two, the event had heavy rain, partially washing away one of the works, which Jimmi then took advantage of, designing the flood into the final piece.
